The Government of Goa, Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, St. Inez, Panaji – Goa invites applications from eligible candidates for enrollment as Aapda Mitra and Aapda Sakhi which are Community Volunteers in Disaster Response for the State of Goa in respect of the District of North and South Goa.

Eligibility for the Aapda Sakhi Aapda Mitra Vacancy

Physical Standards Requirement for Aapda Sakhi Aapda Mitra Vacancy
Must Possess at least the following minimum physical standards:
| Male (Aapda Mitra) | Height without boots or shoes 157 cms Chest (Normal) 79 cms Chest (Expanded) 84 cms Chest (Expansion) 05 cms Ability to run a distance of 100 meters with a load of approximately 50 kgs in a minute or 100 meters run in less than 13 seconds |
| Female (Aapda Sakhi) | Height without boots or shoes 153 cms Ability to run a distance of 100 meters with a load of approximately 40 kgs in a minute or 100 meters run in less than 15 seconds |
How to Apply for Aapda Sakhi or Aapda Mitra Vacancy
Eligible candidates are requested to apply for the position in prescribed form giving details such as full na,e completed address, date of birth and educational qualification duly supported with attested copies of the certificates issued by the Competent Authority along with a passport size photograph pasted on right side top of the application latest by 18th August 2023.
The candidate should be resident of concerned District. Suitable candidate will be shortlisted after brief viva-voce to determine suitability as Volunteers. The selected candidates have to undergo training of 12 days duration.
