To join or become Food Safety Mitra, there are some eligibility criteria which needs to be fulfilled by the applicant.

Age CriteriaCandidates should fall within the age range of 21 to 60 years.

Computer ProficiencyDemonstrated working knowledge of computers, the internet, and related technologies.

Apply Food Safety Mitra FSSAI

Registration on FSM Website: Begin by registering on the Food Safety Mitra (FSM) website.

Online Training: Upon being shortlisted, successfully complete the prescribed online training.

Computer-Based Test (CBT): After completing the training, appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at one of the specified test centers.

Assessment Completion: Upon successfully completing the assessment, a Digital Mitra Certificate will be issued.

Certificate Renewal: Renew the Digital Mitra Certificate every two years to maintain active status.

Registration Fee Payment: Following successful registration, candidates are obligated to submit a registration fee of ₹500/- to access training and the online assessment.

Implementation of Online Assessment Exam: The introduction of an Online Assessment Exam is now part of the process.

Exam Criteria: The exam is graded out of 100 marks, with candidates required to attain a minimum of 75 marks to pass. Failure necessitates a repayment of the ₹500/- registration fee, along with a mandatory re-enrollment for training and assessment.

Advanced Assessment for Registered Candidates: Candidates who have completed the training module and already paid the registration fees can opt for the online assessment.

Security Deposit Requirement: Upon successfully passing the exam, candidates are mandated to pay a security deposit of ₹5000/-.

Certificate Issuance Process: Post-payment of the security deposit and approval from the respective regional offices, candidates can download their certificates.
